About us

Clinexpert Kft. was established in 2004 by a group of psychiatrists and neurologists to be able to participate in applied medical research in a uniform settings where they have all had a great deal of experience before. In order to create the organized framework for this activity, the company first created a clinical research center, a so-called SMO (Study Management Office) operating within a high-quality private healthcare institution in Budapest.  It is important to emphasize that this has given rise to the second such company in Hungary, which has been the first fully Hungarian-owned business entity so far. In accordance with the various waves of pharmaceutical innovation, the company has been continuously expanding according to the indications of new research projects, so by now, it has expanded its research range to 14 specialist area from the initial 2 medical fields.
 
In 2016, as a further phase of successful operation, the Pál Bugát Hospital in Gyöngyös asked Clinexpert Kft. to act as a partner providing professional background for research projects in the hospital in the scope of operating a subsidiary. During one and a half years of cooperation, the number of phase II, III and III clinical trials in the hospital increased six fold and the number of patients participating in the studies has increased tenfold.
 
The team assisting doctors has increased fourfold compared to the initial number.  All of them have tertiary degrees in science and/or health care and are fluent in many foreign languages. Clinexpert Kft’s team of physician with over 100 doctors at the four locations is made up of professionals who wish to exploit their high level of expertise and conduct their research activities under advanced conditions according to European standards, transparently and at the highest possible quality level.

Prof. Dr. István Láng comes from a family of physicians and graduated summa cum laude from the Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1970. He subsequently qualified as a specialist in internal medicine in 1975 and as a clinical immunologist and allergist in 1985.

He has been involved in the diagnosis and drug treatment of cancer for decades, treating many patients with melanoma, and is constantly monitoring the latest scientific advances in targeted and immunotherapy treatments.

“The best results in the treatment of cancer patients with drugs can be achieved by those who have specialised training in oncology and pharmacology in addition to internal medicine. I am qualified in both internal medicine oncology and clinical pharmacology, precisely so that I can give all my patients the most effective drug treatment possible.” – the professor emphasizes.

A lawyer from a medical family, he obtained his law degree in Budapest in 2012 and studied for 1 year in Graz during his university studies. He graduated with a PhD in 2015 and has been studying health management at Semmelweis University since 2020. He has been a member of the Hungarian Bar Association since 2018 as a legal adviser. Since his university years, he has been majoring in the fields of clinical research and health law. After his years in the public service of justice, he joined the management of the Clinexpert Group in 2014 as a legal manager and co-owner. Within the Clinexpert group, he is the head of the legal-authority area and belongs to the tasks of institutional relations. He holds a BS (BSc) and a Master’s (MSc) degree in Health Care from the Faculty of Chemical Bioengineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He came into contact with Clinexpert during his undergraduate studies, where he began his career as an intern and then took up a position here in 2015 after his studies. The Budapest research site was the first place where he learned about clinical trials and the world of innovative drug research and development. From 2016, he worked as a site manager at a research center developed jointly with Pál Bugát Hospital until 2019, and from 2020 he continued to work at the site at Szent Borbála Hospital. Over the years, he has become acquainted with a number of indication areas, gaining a comprehensive picture of the research of the present age which may result the drugs of the future.

She graduated from the Corvinus University of Budapest with a degree in Bioengineering in 2016, and then got acquainted with the role of Clinexpert Kft. In the field of clinical trials. She was immediately captivated by a fusion of healthcare and research on such a scale, so there was no question that he would continue her journey in the most innovative field of healing. She considers the region of Northern Hungary as his home. As a result of the close cooperation with the Pál Bugát Hospital and the Ferenc Markhot Training Hospital and Clinic, she wants to help the people of the region on the road to recovery by coordinating the Clinical Research Examination Sites. With the coordination leadership of the Phase I Clinical Trials Research Center, she wants to deliver an even wider range of clinical trials to the region’s residents. In recent years, she has been involved in the coordination of clinical trials in more than seventy different indications, mainly in the fields of gastroenterology, psychiatry, cardiology, dermatology, gynecology and pulmonology. Her creed is, “A committed, dedicated, humane coordinator is a good coordinator.”
